Things Luke has said

Luke is getting so big and everyday I am still surprised at how well the talks and understands things. And he always has something to say. Every tues and thurs when I pick him up from school he always asks to go to McDonalds or Taco Bell. I will say "well I don't know son" and he will reply "well I think so mom, yeah I think it's a good idea". And man does he love his daddy, he is totally a daddy boy. His teacher told us the other day that they asked each of the kids what their favorite word was, Luke said "dad, "d" "a" "d", dad". One day after his nap I was loving on him and I said "Luke I love you", Luke said "yeah, I love dad", I said "you do?" he said, "yeah, he's kinda funny sometimes". One day Bryan came home from work and I said "babe you really look nice today, Lucas don't you think dad looks good today?" Lucas, "yeah, dads handsome", I totally agree son, I totally agree. :) Below are just some random pics from the week.

Lucas while playing ball, I just thought he looked older in the pic with his little batting gloves on, reminds me of his daddy.

Here he and Bryce are playing with one of Bryce's toys and if I remember correctly Lucas is telling Bryce how it works while trying to keep his hands off of it.

Here Bryce has a handful of Luke's hair... Bryce is always pulling somebodies hair and usually Luke is his victim... but Luke never gets mad at him, he just tries to get lose :)

Luke's first tee ball game

Luke started tee ball this spring and he totally loves it. They don't really play a real game, they just let every kids bat twice and run the bases. Lucas isn't really agressive when it comes to getting the ball and he is the youngest and smallest kid on the team, but and I'm not just saying this because he's my son, he is the best hitter. If you know him you know how much he loves to play baseball and that means hitting off the tee. For his birthday, Charlee bought him a new tee, batting helment and batting gloves. The gloves are so cute and he truly thinks he is now the stuff when he has them on. At the first pratice a lot of the parents and the coach couldn't believe how well he hit the ball. They don't know that mom and dad are chasing balls most of the day in the backyard.

Canvas

So if you've been to our house you know that we have a large wrapped canvas of Lucas when he was 3 months old. And Bryan has always said we aren't getting another one if we have another child. Well we now have one of Bryce at 3 months old and he's a cutie!!!

3rd Birthday party w/family

Here's the pics from Lucas' second birthday party with just the family. We all had a great time and Lucas loved getting to see everybody. I did get a little flack however for not making them a fancy cake, their words not mine. I tired to make up for it by making them a cake from scratch but that didn't turn out so well either because they all said it tasted like crap. :) I think I might have read the recipe wrong. You will also notice that the pictures aren't as good from this party too and that's because a photographer that knows what he's doing took the ones for the other party, thanks Joel!

Luke's 3rd birthday

I really can't believe it but my little guy is now 3. Honestly the last 3 years have just flown by. We had 2 parties this year, one for friends and one for family. I really think it worked out better like this because it wasn't so crazy with way to many people. Below are pics from the first party with friends. We rented a bounce house and the kids had a blast. Thankful the weather was great even though it said it was suppose to rain. Thank you God! :) And thank you to my sister who came down for moral support and helping me with Luke's cake. It was the first time I had ever carved something out of cake and both Charlee and I's second time working with fondant. She is such a good sister. She got here at 1 am the night before and at that time I had only just covered the car and cut out the details, we were up until 4 am. But Luke loved it and was really excited to have a Lightning McQueen cake.

A little of Bryce

I know I say this all the time, but Bryce is just the best baby! He is always happy and if he's not happy he doesn't cry, he yells. He loves Lucas and Lucas loves him. Lucas will play with him most of the day. So much sometimes that I have to make Lucas stop so Bryce can have a little alone time. :) Last week Bryce was really in the Mother's Day spirit and started saying "da da". It all Lucas' fault too, because I keep saying "ma ma" to Bryce and Lucas heard me and said "no, he says da da" and then continued to say it to him for the rest of the day. Well of course by 4:00 that day Bryce was saying it too. :) My boys, they just love their mom.

More pics

Lucas spent the night with Charlee one night and at first I thought maybe we might have trouble getting him to go. But no, I packed his bag and he was ready to hit the door. Here's him giving me a good bye smile. :)

Here's Bryce getting some love from my mom. She keeps saying to me that she can't figure out who Bryce looks like. I think he looks like her! Am I the only one seeing this?

Riding along on my automobile

So as usual I'm way behind on my post. What can I say I'm lazy. :) At the begining of April Lucas, Bryce and I went to MO for 5 days to spend with the family. Below are some pics of Lucas and his cousin Ryker driving in Ryker's Jeep. Ryker got this jeep for Christmas but is still to little to drive it yet. However Lucas was happy to drive for him and Ryker loved going along for the ride. It was kinda funny, but not at the time, my mom said don't let them drive up that hill the jeep might flip and we said no way that jeep is flipping mom. 5 mins later they flipped it. Luckly they had their seat belts on and everybody was ok. :)
