I'm amazed

In April I posted the first picture below that Luke had drawn on his Macadoodle thing. Well his love for drawing has not changed. He draws everyday for at least 1 hour a day. He doesn't really like to color in a coloring book, but if you give him some drawing paper it will keep him busy for a while. And he still comes to Bryan and I and asks us to draw all different truck for him. I draw at least 50 trucks a day. We keep our drawings simple, because we can tell that he is trying to duplicate them. Well I think Bryan and I are going to have to step it up. The second picture is his new art work. The red truck is my drawing and is what I always draw when he asks for a trash truck (it's his favorite truck right now). The orange drawing is Luke's. I'm going to keep this one and maybe even frame it. :)

Charlee's 30th

Believe it or not, but my little sister turned 30 this year. Her birthday was in June, but I'm just now getting the pictures from her. Her boyfriend Matt threw her a surprise party and we all had a really great time. She was totally surprised. :)

I made the cake and since this was my first time working with fondant and since I was making the fondant myself instead of buying it, my good friend Steph came over and helped me out. The fondant was made out of powdered sugar and marshmallow. It actually tasted good and was easy to work with. Thanks Steph!

Charlee and what she calls her boys. :) Check out their cute little shirts I found. They say "My Aunt is 30"

A pic of just the girls... guys don't want their picture taken

Except for Matt, he's really just one of the girls... jk
But seriously, here's a pic of Charlee and her man Matt. :)

Bowling

We took Luke bowling tonight. We weren't sure if he was going to be able to do it, but he did just fine and had a blast. :) It was so cute he just couldn't wait for his turn. He keep looking at me saying "Luke turn". We only bowled one game and he probably could have bowled another. I'm sure it will be something we do again. :)

This is the face he gives me when I ask him to say "cheese" :)

As you can see he beat Bryan, but I think Bryan did a lot of goofing off. I am however saving it so some day he can say he beat dad the first time he ever bowled. "he he"

Jump Zone

I joined a stay at home mom's group when Luke was around 8 months old and usually once a week Luke and I will do something with the group. It gives us a chance to get out of the house, Luke a chance to play with other kids and mom a chance to talk with other adults. This day we went to the Jump Zone at Eastside Baptist Church. It's totally free and they let us reserve it for just our group. Luke loved it and I loved it. It was clean and bright and just all around nice. Thanks to one of the moms older two children coming that day, they took turns taking Luke down the big slide with the burlap sacks. He thought it was great and every time he went he would come over to me and tell me he went "wreally fast". It was really nice of them, because being the mom I am I wouldn't let him do it by himself with the sacks. No sack is fine, but with the sack, really was quite fast. :)

Potty Training

So we've been trying the potty training thing lately. Some days go great and some days not so much. Of course I've been doing the worst thing you can do and that's undies one day and diapers the next. They say once you start that you have to stick with it, but some days I can only take so much. :) This day how ever I think Luke decided to have a little fun with it and I think it's just what we needed. :)
