Friends over to play

Recently Lucas has started wanting to get on the computer everyday and look at pictures. He always says to me "Sid", "Averi" "Please" that means he wants to look at pictures of his friends Sydni and Averi. So today Lucas had Sydni and Averi over to play. Of course it took him a while to warm up and play with them, he is always the shy little guy at first. But later they were all having lots of fun. :)

 

I just can't get over how big they look.

Finally some nice weather

Yesterday was great!! We finally had some nice weather. Lucas and I pretty much spent the entire day outside. We played at the house and then after his nap we went to the park. I made the mistake of telling him we would go to the park after his nap. So 30 mins after he went down he was already up and in his bedroom yelling PARK! Anyway we had a great time at the park.

 

 

 

 

Later that night I let him have a stamp, which is one of his favorite things to get, and then put Bryan in charge of the stamps while I fixed supper. As I was cooking I noticed that they were being really quiet in the other room. When I went in there I found Bryan watching TV and Luke doing the following. :)

Stickers

Why do kids love stickers? I bought these stickers the other day, there are over 2000 and it was just a couple buck, and they will keep Luke busy for a while. I bought animal stickers and it's just so cute hearing Luke try to say the names of them. He is talking a ton lately and pretty much tries to say everything you say, except for "grandma" which is really upsetting my mom. :) But really he is talking a ton. There is still a lot I don't understand but it's just so cool to talk to him and have him answer me back.

 

 

Lonely Cabbage Patch Kid

About 10 years ago my mother and I were in a antique shop and one of the booths were full of cabbage patch dolls still in their boxes from the first year they came out. Apparently the man's mother collected them and she had passed away so he was selling them. I thought it would be way cool to buy the same little girl doll I got for Christmas in 1986 to give my daughter some day. I also bought a little boy doll in case I had a son. So anyway I got Luke's out the other day and gave it to him to see if he might like it. I was trying to get Luke to sit in his chair so I could take a picture of him and the doll and he was having none of it. Every time I handed him the doll he would throw it down. And then of course Bryan had to start saying things like "Yeah we don't like dolls" "Yuck", which Luke thought was quite funny and now he really doesn't want anything to do with the doll. Oh, well.

Here are some pics of Luke and L. She lives down the street and we always joke that she's Luke's girlfriend. They were both attending Reaghan's 2nd birthday and Joel a friend of mine took some picture's of them on the swing together. They are so cute together. :)

Big boy shower

Well Bryan made the mistake a couple months ago and let Lucas take a shower with him. Now every time Lucas see's Bryan getting ready to take a shower he shouts "Shower!" and starts removing his clothes. It's always just the cutest thing to see their naked butts getting into the shower, but since it wouldn't be appropreiate to post that picture I figured I would just show you one of Luke after. :)

I was in Hobby Lobby the other day and they had their Christmas stuff 90% off. I saw this little craft set that was regularly $3 and figured for 30 cents it would be a cute little craft project for Lucas. So here's some pics of Lucas painting a Christmas magnet.

Lucas loves beans

One of Luke's favorite foods are beans. Almost any kind of bean. He loves black beans, kidney beans, pinto beans and really loves ham and beans. Tonight we had ham and beans for dinner. I make them a little thick so he can eat them easily and they won't fall off his spoon. He will eat the whole bowl and then look for any that might be left on his shirt. It's just so cute to be seeing him eat like a big boy. :)

My Christmas present

Ok, so this might seem a little retarded and all. I mean who blogs about their vaccum. But if you have a Dyson then you totally understand. I got my new Dyson for Christmas from my mom and I have to say it's the best Christmas present I've ever gotten from her. So before I used my new vaccum I first used my old vaccum and I got some stuff out of the carpet. I don't vaccum all the time but I do vaccum once a week. So next I used my new Dyson and you would never believe what all I got out of my carpet. I had to dump the canister twice! I love this new vaccum. I actually look forward to vaccuming and you would never believe how much cleaner my carpets are. Anyway that's all I have to say, I just wanted to tell somebody about my new vaccum. :)

Luke's friend M

Some friends of ours came over for dinner tonight and they have a little girl that's almost a year older than Luke. She is the cutest little thing and I don't think you can see them in this picture but she has the cutest dimples. Her and Luke ran all over the house and had a blast playing. For a while the adults couldn't even talk because the kids were being so loud laughing. :) We had a great time having them over and hope to do it again sometime soon. M even stayed and took a bath with Luke. I added bubbles so there wouldn't be any questions about what was beneath the water. ;)

My creative little sister :)

So for those of you that don't know my younger sister, her name is Charlee and she is really tight with her money. She is in the process of decorating her bedroom and she was looking for a couple night stands, but didn't want to spend a lot of money. She got on Craig's List in Springfield MO and found the following two night stands. Her boyfriend thought she was crazy when she bought them, but she assured him she could change them and make them look better. I've posted some before and after pictures below and I'm pretty impressed with what she did. She said she spent a little under $100 to purchase and change the night stands.

I looked over at Luke and he had smeared his grill cheese on his face. So I figured that meant he was done. However when I came over to clean him off I noticed that he still went ahead and ate what was left of the piece he just had on his face. :)

All those new christmas presents

All those new Christmas presents and he wants to play with tupperware. Go figure?

New Blog and fresh new start

So I started staying home full time at the beginning of November and I'm loving it!!!! Luke goes to the Montessori School in Fort Smith 2 days a week for 3 hours a day and he is loving it too. It give me time to run erands and it gives him time to be with friends and learn how to handle things without mommy. I thought a first I might miss work a little and that it would be hard to find things to do at home with just the two of us, but I haven't missed it at all and we find all kinds of things to do. It has really been one of the best decision I've ever made. :)

So since I'm staying home now I figured I should always be able to find time to publish a couple post every once in a while. Some friends of mine aka the Franklins have my blog posted on their website and it's a little embaressing that if you click on it my last post is from May. :)
